Edwards will be welcomed back into the Octagon by fellow welterweight fellow Belal Muhammad, a short-notice replacement for undefeated Khamzat Chimaev.

And the 29-year-old will enter the fight in the form of his career.

Late last week, Rocky shared a post-workout photo of himself and his trainer Henry Cleminson on Instagram.

The photo showed a topless Edwards with a bodybuilder-like definition in his heart and quads.

Fighting fans were stunned by his physique and flocked to Twitter to have his diced image ringed.

One of them tweeted: “He looks like a fucking bodybuilder.”

Another said: “Leon looked scary. I could already see the power.”

Another said, “I think it goes through Bella like a freight train.”

After seeing Edwards’ finishing frame, a fan predicted the Briton would claim the welterweight throne this year.

They wrote, “Yikes, the dedication to getting into that type of form as a fighter is unimaginable to me.

“Different breed and I think he will be the next champion if they give him a chance.”

Edwards’ clash with Muhammad will be his first octagonal outing in over 19 months.

And the Brummie plan to make a statement in Sunday morning’s winnable bout.

He told the Schmo: “We’re both 18 and 3, but we’ve taken two different paths.

“I’m going to prove on Saturday night that we’re two different people, and I can’t wait to prove it to the world.”

He added: “I’m going there to put him aside and hurt him. I can’t wait to be there.”
