San Francisco-based cloud contact center solution and artificial intelligence (AI) software provider Talkdesk Inc. is reportedly seeking to go public on US stock markets.
Talkdesk reportedly contacted underwriters and filed documents confidentially with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).
In August 2021, Talkdesk announced that its valuation was over US$10 billion after raising US$230 million in a Series D funding round.

After the funding round, Talkdesk secured a spot among the highly valued private companies in the Software as a Service (SaaS) provider category.

As of now, the company has not officially announced its initial public offering (IPO) plans. Some reports claimed that Talkdesk’s IPO could happen this year.
Suppose the company has filed a confidential IPO application. In this case, interested investors will have to wait for the company to file a registration statement with the SEC to learn more about the details of the IPO.

By August last year, Talkdesk had raised $498 million in total. After the Series D funding round, the cloud-based contact center added Sydney Carey as CFO, known to be a Saas industry veteran.
Since launching in 2011, Talkdesk has grown significantly and secured a spot in the Forbes Cloud 100 for the third year in a row in 2021.
The San Francisco-based company added new investors like TI Platform Management, Alpha Square Group and Whale Rock Capital Management in the latest funding round.
Between 2019 and 2021, Talkdesk launched over 30 product innovations and expanded into new markets like Canada, Brazil, Australia, Ireland, France, Netherlands, Spain, Southeast Asia, Italy and Germany.
In 2020, the company set a record by doubling its employees to around 2,000, and it may be eyeing an IPO for further expansion.
