According to the Chief Fire Officer (CFO), the fire occurred around 7:45 a.m. in an apartment building in Noida and several firefighters who reached the place in time managed to rescue the stranded people.
“Information about the fire was received around 7:45 a.m. that a building in sector 3 caught fire and several fire tenders were sent here which found that the AGEIS call center on the second floor had caught fire,” said Sushil Kumar Singh, Chief Financial Officer, Ghaziabad.

Singh further said that up to five people were trapped in the fire who were later rescued to safety and the smoke was also cleared by ensuring adequate ventilation here.
The normal situation has now been restored, he added.
The cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Earlier, in a separate incident, up to two people died and 10 others were injured after a major fire broke out at the Levana hotel in the Hazratganj Lucknow area in Uttar Pradesh on September 5, following which Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took notice of the fire and ordered authorities to treat the injured.
