Chubb’s Blackburn Contact Center celebrates its first year

August was a momentous month for Chubb’s call center in Blackburn as the team celebrates its first year in the new location.

On August 2, 2021, the contact center welcomed the first cohort of newcomers to its impressive office campus in Blackburn and launched an extensive onboarding program to ensure new hires were ready to take their first calls. customers on August 16. Over the following weeks and months, other cohorts of newcomers were formed, making up the team of 75 people we have today.

To celebrate reaching its first anniversary, the Contact Center recently hosted a fun day for the team with quick quizzes, face painting, a “Manager Face Hunt” game, and a big party cake and treats. to share.

The fun day ended with a conga line through the building with pom poms galore and the crew singing along to chorus music!

“Last year saw a hive of activity as we moved the contact center from Leicester to our UK head office. We welcomed 75 newcomers fully trained to support our customers with all their inquiries from from one place. Everyone really enjoyed getting together for a day of celebration; they are a friendly and dynamic group that I am proud to call my team.

The Blackburn Contact Center is part of Chubb’s 55,000 square foot office campus, which underwent a major renovation in 2016 when work began to transform the existing site into an advanced, integrated and sustainable workspace.

The contact center operates 24/7, with four teams working shifts to ensure the highest levels of customer service are maintained. The industry standard sets a target of 80% of calls answered within 20 seconds, but here Chubb raises the bar by answering 90% of calls within the same time frame.
