BT creates 100 new jobs at refurbished Doncaster contact center

100 new jobs have been created by BT in Doncaster.

The communications giant is recruiting for the South Yorkshire contact centre, aiming to fill vacancies by April this year.

This is part of BT Group’s wider target of hiring 1,000 new contact center colleagues across BT and EE’s 24 national sites, and builds on 350 added in recent years.

BT is also launching a multi-million pound investment in the latest technology to provide further support to customers. Contact center staff will be able to remotely check the broadband performance of BT customers, giving their colleagues the knowledge to offer advice to improve their connection.

Nick Lane, Managing Director of BT Consumer Customer Service, said: “We understand the importance of having a super-fast and reliable internet connection as people continue to depend on it more than ever. That’s why we’re investing in hiring more advisors and offering additional services to help customers when they want to upgrade to full fiber or to answer and resolve customer questions. »

Successful candidates will be able to enjoy working in the refurbished multi-million pound office in Wilmington Drive. Opened last summer, the state-of-the-art building was part of the largest workplace improvement and consolidation program of its kind ever undertaken in the UK.

Tracey Dolby, Customer Service Advisor at Doncaster Call Centre, added: “I was attracted to the role because of the support provided by the company. Not only is it a job where I feel valued, but it’s a great atmosphere and there is always someone to help you if you need it. Managers are easily accessible and will help you with anything you need to discuss, even if it’s a personal issue.

“The benefits are great and we work in a newly renovated office. I would therefore recommend this role to anyone looking for a new job or a change in management. »
