9 people have contracted the coronavirus, while 2 die in Saint Kitts and Nevis
Saint Kitts and Nevis: Nine people have tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of active cases in the country to 1,046, as of October 10, 2021, according to the health ministry report. While 2 additional deaths were recorded.
According to the report, 1,347 people have so far been recovered from the deadly virus, while nineteen people have skimmed off the deadliest mutant.
According to the Department of Health report, out of 2,412 confirmed cases discovered, 2,018 cases have been reported in St. Kitts and 394 COVID-19 infections have been reported on the island of Nevis.
According to the COVID-19 vaccination report from the Saint Kitts and Nevis Department of Health, as of October 11, 2021, a total of 9.9% of the child population (aged 12 to 17) has received the first dose of the vaccine. COVID-19 vaccine while 5.4% of children are fully immunized.
About 69.4 percent of the population of Saint Kitts and Nevis, 22,942 people, have received their second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine and are now fully vaccinated, while a total of 76.8 percent of the SKN population took their first dose, until October 11, 2021.
A total of 49,501 vaccine doses have been administered on the Twin Island, including a total of 37,447 vaccines administered in St. Kitts and 11,602 vaccines administered on the Island of Nevis so far.
The government has set a goal of fully immunizing 33,037 adults and 4,800 children against the deadliest virus (COVID-19).
In addition, the Prime Minister of Saint Kitts and Nevis – Dr Timothy Harris, is also encouraging citizens to take doses of their COVID-19 vaccines as soon as possible in order to fight and defeat the deadly mutant.
The Prime Minister – Dr Timothy Harris, has asked his citizens to strictly follow COVID-19 health protocols and measures such as – wearing masks, frequent disinfection, maintaining social distancing.
